Sorry the photos are backwards. Well today was the 4th of July and even though we don't celebrate America's independence, we always decide to mark the event with a celebration for Daddy.
Charlotte has a go at her first sparkler! Fireworks are illegal in Victoria so unfortunately we couldn't get any but we were able to have some fun with sparklers, writting our names and bending them so they spin around.
Jason offered an apprieciation for all the blessings we enjoy and always starts with a thankyou for recognising the 'promised land'!!!
We decorated mum's lounge room with everything American we could find. My sister in law Tara had just bought some things home from the US in April so all in all it looked quite festive. We invited the elders because 1 was from Wyoming and the other from Salt Lake. Jacob loved to talk with them. Here he is ready for a blessing on the food.
Megan couldn't get enough of the dips!
We had hot dogs with all kinds of toppings you could load up youself. Raw onions, Cooked onions, cheese, bacon, Jason's homemade sweet pickle relish, mustards, BBQ sauce, sweet chilli sauce....the list goes on!
For sweets we had chocolate Brownies, cupcakes, cheese cake and apple pie with ice-cream! MMMMmmmmm delicious!
We'll I'm full and so was all the family! Until next year! Or at least till Thanksgiving!!!!!
