Highschool Musical Dropouts!!

Brooklyn had her cousin over for a play the other day and when I heard some familiar music blaring from her bedroom, this is what I found! Right now Brooklyn watches Highschool Musical on an almost daily basis! There's only some much you can take, however Madison is also a die hard fan of HSM and together they love dancing to the song "We're all in this together"

Bring back memories anyone! Any die hard Madonna, Michael Jacokson or wait for it - Cyndi Lauper fans out there wanna admit to dancing around your bedrooms? Hahaha

I am so sick of the music but on it goes everyday!

Brooklyn's trip to the city to see Disney on Ice!

Well it's school hooliday's again and Brooklyn's auntie has got tickets for both Courtney and Brooklyn to see the Disney on Ice show at an arena in the city. Both of them arrived early to find a carpark and then went for some lunch before the show started. While they were waiting, Brooklyn posed for some photos at the Music Bowl Gardens before walking across the Yarra River to reach the stadium.

Brooklyn and her Auntie Courtney!

Getting closer to the stadium!

Brooklyn bundles up for the ice arena, even though the sun was shining!

Don;t they all just love the camera. Smile!

This is our yarra river through the centre of town, surrounded by beautiful parks and jogging tracks. It is quite pretty but quite load and busy! Me, I'm a country girl, I need quiet and more space!

PeterPan was on show!

101 Dalmations
and the Little Mermaid

Happy 4th of July!!!!!

Sorry the photos are backwards. Well today was the 4th of July and even though we don't celebrate America's independence, we always decide to mark the event with a celebration for Daddy.
Charlotte has a go at her first sparkler! Fireworks are illegal in Victoria so unfortunately we couldn't get any but we were able to have some fun with sparklers, writting our names and bending them so they spin around.

Jason offered an apprieciation for all the blessings we enjoy and always starts with a thankyou for recognising the 'promised land'!!!

We decorated mum's lounge room with everything American we could find. My sister in law Tara had just bought some things home from the US in April so all in all it looked quite festive. We invited the elders because 1 was from Wyoming and the other from Salt Lake. Jacob loved to talk with them. Here he is ready for a blessing on the food.

Megan couldn't get enough of the dips!

We had hot dogs with all kinds of toppings you could load up youself. Raw onions, Cooked onions, cheese, bacon, Jason's homemade sweet pickle relish, mustards, BBQ sauce, sweet chilli sauce....the list goes on!

For sweets we had chocolate Brownies, cupcakes, cheese cake and apple pie with ice-cream! MMMMmmmmm delicious!

We'll I'm full and so was all the family! Until next year! Or at least till Thanksgiving!!!!!

My new project!!!

My mum, sisters, and a few of my friends have started a craft group. Last month we met together for an afternoon of crafty projects. We decided to make a wall plaque that displayed our favourite scriptures. I chose Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. We chose our papers, ribbons and embellishments to decorate and made great copies of some small pictures of the Savior. It took a few hours (of me getting up and down all the time to protect my back, I could only sit for about 30mins at a time) of fun, inspiration and food to come up with the finished product. What do you think?

Excuse the messy writing on the walls behind it (Every single wall in the house needs re painting!)
Joshua 24:15 I love this scriture!

This plaque hangs next to the front door of the house. So we all get to look at it each time we leave the house. It's a great scripture to be thinking about when you leave each day. Jason loves it. He wants me to make some more for the children's bedrooms. My mum made one that said "I am a Child of God" to hang in her nursery. So I think I might make one each for the kids's rooms. In my spare time I bet! But it was fun! Stay tuned for our next project!
