Guns, 4WDing and lots of mud...........a great boys day out!

Jason went with my Dad, brothers Scott and Simon to take Steven on his first shooting experience with the boys. With their guns loaded and gear ready they drove about 30 minutes away to where the bushfires were back in Febuary this year. Jason said it was amazing to be still in the forest again and watch the ground still try and recover. As it happened this soon gave way to some fun adventures with 4wdriving and some big puddles.

Here he goes. Jason takes his truck 4WDing!!

New growth starting to come back after the fires!

MMMmmm........mud!

Boys always seem to be attracted to puddles no matter how old they are. The only difference is when your older you've got bigger toys to roll through the puddle!!!!!

Watching Dad's 4WD go threw the puddles..........with Scott hanging off the back there. Someone told him he wouldn't get wet if he's on the back! Boys will be boys!

So when's our next trip?!?!?!

Courtney's hen's night!!!!!!! What a great night.

We had Courtney's Hen's Night a couple of weeks ago and we had a blast. Morgan had arranged for a surprise dinner with some games, prizes, singing and lots of fun with Courtneys nearest and dearest.
Courtney, her bridesmaids and me! (I'm not a bridesmaid!) Ready to paint the town - pink! We took Courtney out to a chinese restaurant that just happened to have karoke! Courtney's favourite past time, Singstar!
Aren't they beautiful? My baby sisters!

Courtney and Natalie give karoke a whirl!!! Singing Madonna!!!!!!

The Adams/ McDonald women. Me, Morgan, Lauren, Courtney and Tara!

Following a great dinner, Morgan took us all outside where Courtney had to be blindfolded and play a guessing game. We even invited some randoms to join in the fun just to make it harder for her. She had to guess which person was actually her fiance Steven.

Here he is, ain't they cute.

Thanks Morgan - I was the camera person before Morgan stole the camera, me pretending to pose and Morgan actually taking a picture. Cheese! Now the ladies party. Everyone's a dancing queen as mothers, sisters and friends of the bride and groom take to the stage.

It was a fantastic night!!!!!

Brooklyn's 80's day at school.........

Brooklyn had a fancy dress at school today to raise money for airconditioning in summer and she decided to go as an 80's disco queen. Ahhh..... the memories. She laughed when I said that 20 years ago I wore the same thing for real!!!!!! I even dug out the hairspray for a Cyndi Lauper hairdo!!!!!

Courtney's Kitchen Tea!!!!!!!!

We had Courtney's kitchen tea a couple of weeks ago and had a great afternoon full of food, presents, recipes, stories and fun! Tara and I planned the afternoon, happy to leave everything else to her bridesmaids. The day was complete with a few chocolate eating games, toilet paper brides and bridal pictionary. Try drawing things like 'bridezilla', temple marraige and 'hen's night'.

Getting ready for the afternoon feast!

Tara's Kitchen tea cake and matching cupcakes! Check out this afternoon tea spread- curtesy of Rene Quail and Tara Adams!!!

Father's Day 2009.........Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Daddy got a great wake up call this morning as all three kids quietly crept into the bedroom and whispered "Happy Father's Day Daddy" "It's time for Presents".
Brooklyn made Daddy breakfast this morning, eggs on toast with a cold glass of water. Good job Brooklyn, Daddy loved it!

Charlotte gave her present to Daddy and said "Happy Birthday Daddy"!!!!!!!!
Happy Father's Day honey. I love you so much. You are a great example of hard work, dedication, committment, and faith for our children. I'm so glad you came half way around the world for me - like you always remind me. Till next year!

Father's Day 2009 @ Adams'

I just wanted to say how much of a wonderful dinner we had at my parents this Father's Day. All the family came together to celebrate with a nice lamb/pork roast complete with crackling, mash, roast pumpkin and vegies. This was followed by a huge buffet of sweets.
Ijust want to tell my Dad that I love him very much and apprecieate the great example he is for me and my family. I also want to say Happy Father's Day to my 'Dad-in-law', Robert. Being half way across the world has not stopped you from being a great influence in our lives. We love you so much and look forward to the day when we can meet again for a visit!
Love and kisses!
Dad and Scott enjoy a nice Sunday roast.
Simon, Lauren, Charlotte and Jason chow down........

Charming!!!!!!

Everybody loves to eat...... my nama and Jeanie enjoy a Sunday roast. Below, a snapshot of the family gathering for a roast in the kitchen of my parents.

Tara, my sister in law is our family's resident cupcake queen so she did us the honour of making these great Father's day cakes. A cupcake for everyone and then she even made my Dad a lawnmover in celebration of my Dad.
