Some pictures of Brooklyn's baptism. More pictures to come

The day Brooklyn had been so longing for had finally arrived. Brooklyn was baptized on Saturday 19th December at Croydon Chapel, surrounding by close family and friends. It was an extremely emotional day for all who came as family members shared testimonies, offered advice and congratulations on choosing the be baptized. I want to thank all who came and supported her through this wonderful experience.
We held a huge feast in Brooklyn's honour at my mum's house after the baptism where we ate ourselves into oblivion and showered Brooklyn with wonderful gifts to treasure and record her special day with.
There was such a wonderful outpouring of family to support Brooklyn on her special day. Four generations of Adams and McDonald's together in celebration.

Dinner with Grandma and Grandpa!!!

What a surprise this was....... Grandma and Grandpa McDonald arrived to visit with us this week and we decided to have a picnic outside - a great aussie tradition that I have grown up with - eating fish and chips outside on a picnic rug or table. The weather is warming up and summer is here, today the weather was 104 F - sweltering!
Charlotte and Jacob eat their potato cakes (like hash browns!)

Three generations of McDonald's here finally!

Brooklyn sings at the community Carol's by Candelight

Brooklyn's school Choir wait patiently to sing for the whole community! I know they all look the same in their school uniforms, but Brooklyn is there with her friends Holly and Tahlia in the Choir!

Enjoying the picnic - sausages in bread, softdrinks and candles! Waiting for Brooklyn to sing!

Jason's eyes light up when they sang Frosty the Snowman but I bet he's never sung the Aussie classic 6 White Boomers. Just in case you have no idea what we were singing about, Boomers are Kangeroo's and the song is about Santa helping a Joey kangeroo find his mum.
6 White Boomers
Early on one Christmas Day, a Joey Kanga-roo
Was far from home and lost in a great big zoo
Mummy, where's my mummy, they've taken her a-way
We'll help you find your mummy son, hop on the sleigh
[Verse:] Up beside the bag of toys, little Joey hopped
But they had'nt gone far when Santa stopped
Un-harnessed all the reindeer and Joey wondered why
Then he heard a far off booming in the sky
[Chorus:] Six white boomers, snow white boomers
Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun
Six white boomers, snow white boomers .. On his Aus-tra-lian run

Brooklyn, in the middle with the reindeer ears on!

Brooklyn's school choir!

Brooklyn did a fantastic job. It was such an uplifting night! Bit of dancing, lots of swaying and singing and looking for a brighter New Year! Next year we'll pack the blanket, chairs and heaps of food!

Thanksgiving 2009!

Well Thanksgiving has rolled around again and Jason is eagerly preparing his first ever own cooked turkey!
I don't know what I would do without him. He seems to bake even more than I do and let me tell you he is very good at it! These seems to be nothing that he can't acheive when he puts his mind to it!

And Voila!!!!!!!! A beautifully roasted turkey that was so succulent, the meat just fell away!

Jason carves his first own cooked turkey!

Let me explain the small child as big as the turkey on the table. This is Tarkyn Jones - he's 1 week old and is the newest brother to our God-daughter Hannah Jones. We all gathered to help Jason celebrate Thanksgiving.

Family and Friends!

Our Elders - One from Michigan, the other from Utah! Loved the sweet potatoes with marshmellows?!?!?! We were all game enough to give it a try! and surprisingly they were exceptional! Thanks Lisa!

I want to wish everybody a happy Thanksgiving. We have so so much to be greatful for and I love getting together as the large family we are and take a moment to remember the Savior and all the blessings we do have in our busy but dedicated lives!

Jacob's Christmas Kinder Concert 2009!

Jacob's preschool this year did a Christmas play about 10 little angels who wanted to be helpful during Jesus's birth. It was a wonderful play and so good to see a glimmer of thought about our Savior at this time of year! There were shepherds, animals, kings and of course Mary and Joseph! Jacob was a King.
The kids also sang some of their favourite songs from throughout the year and some Christmas classics! Jacob is in the back row, third from the right.

My little King.

Jacob and his class mates wait patiently for Santa to bring some christmas cheer in the way of presents!

Charlotte plays close attention......not!!!

Trimming the Tree 2009!!!!!

Well, for those of you who know and love us, it's been a bit of a bumby road this year. But we are all healthy, happy and optimistic for better years to come so with this in mind - we decided to trim the tree and get ready for the Christmas season!
